Organising gambling over the internet in Poland is a state monopoly with two exceptions. The Gambling Act of 19 November 2009 provides that « urządzanie gier hazardowych przez sieć Internet, z wyjątkiem zakładów wzajemnych i loterii promocyjnych, jest objęte monopolem państwa » — online gambling, other than betting and promotional lotteries, is covered by the state monopoly.
